WHO ARE WE?
Dream Children's Home is a project established in 2004 by Mrs. Rachel Gichia in her matrimonial home located in Ngong, Kenya. Her objective was to provide protection and care for her community's abandoned, orphaned, and less fortunate kids. Since inception, the home has supported hundreds of children nationwide, and strives to provide basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and education with support from well-wishers.
Our population is about 180 children; most of them in Primary level, and the older ones in Secondary and College levels.
We provide education to all the children to instill valuable skills that would be beneficial in their future lives. Therefore, they attend a private school within the home, known as Lekuruki Primary and Junior Secondary School. We also facilitate their Secondary and College education through support from various sponsors and well-wishers.
However, the orphanage depends purely on donations, charities, and sponsorships from well-wishers. Therefore, we always need various resources to run the home smoothly and sustainably. Hence, any donation or support, small or big, is highly appreciated here.
Moreover, Volunteers are always welcome to Dream Children’s Home to share their talents and resources with the less fortune children of the centre.
We believe in creating a lasting relationship with all our volunteers at various levels wherever they may be.
The kids are always joyful here and live as brothers and sisters with love and unity. It is a home of joy and happiness!
